What I Wanted

A clean, mount-and-forget way to have my iPhone accessible on the golf trolley. MagSafe seemed like the right solution — snap on, snap off, secure hold. Simple.

What I Got

It wasn't secure. The MagSafe connection wasn't strong enough to keep the phone in place with any trolley movement, the mount itself wasn't rigid, and the overall build quality felt cheap in a way that matched the price but not the expectation.

A golf trolley moves over uneven ground — it vibrates, bounces, and shifts. A phone holder for that environment needs to grip properly. This one didn't. The phone shifted constantly and I didn't trust it not to drop.

Save Your Money

For golf trolley phone mounting, you're better off with a dedicated clamp-style holder that grips the phone mechanically rather than relying on magnetic force. MagSafe works well for stationary mounts (car dashboard, desk stand) but on a moving trolley over rough ground it's not up to the job — at least not at this price point.
